3 Litres of Water.

3 Litres of Water.
Hello! I hope Week 1 has been successful for all :).
In doing my weekly review, I finally committed and started drinking 3 litres of water daily. I only started 3 litres this past Monday. I started the whole habit at the beginning of December but it wasn’t 3L because I couldn’t figure out how to make this happen – the best water bottle for me and filling up my bottles while I am on the go and out of the house all day. In December, I started with the Starbucks tumbler (the large one) which is under 1 L…I would have 3 of those for the day, which I know isn’t exactly 3L. I carried my 980 ml (roughly) water bottle to work full of water and would fill up the Starbucks tumbler when I was finished, then fill it up again when I got home. Now, I have a STANLEY tumbler that holds 1.18 litres – I just needed a water bottle I liked that held 1 L, then I knew I only needed 2 L left, but it had to be with a straw because I need a straw.
Since we all as a collective started on Monday and I couldn’t with workouts because I was battling a head cold from my toddler son, I figured I would maintain the water healthy habit from the over indulgence of drinks and foods over the holiday season. With the Stanley, I fill it up from home and fill up my 980 ml other water bottle (Swell bottle), and when the 1.18 litre Stanley is finished, I dump the water from my other water bottle into the Stanley. Then when I get home I fill up the Stanley again. So, I finish 1.18 litres by 11am, 2 litres by 2pm, and the last litre while at home playing with my son by 7pm (this has been my trend all week this week, that I hope to maintain.) Keep in mind, I do have about 1 full glass of hot lemon water with Himalayan salt first thing in the morning before I start drinking out of my Stanley.
My major question is, because I am so new to ALL this water intake – doing 3L on Saturdays and Sundays may be challenging because I am out and about and can’t always predict to know where and when I will see a toilet. Whereas, Mon-Fri, it is predictable that my two dominant spaces being my home and work have toilets, plus my son’s indoor soccer venue. Question for @Lyzabeth is, can I do 3L Mon – Fri and then 1.5 or 2L on the weekends if I find the weekends challenging? Is this an acceptable alternative if I need to adjust due to lifestyle?
