Hello everyone!!! ( I just learned I posted this in the wrong area of the site, womp, womp.)
As I cooked the recipe from the Sugar Cleanse (Cashew Chicken Stir Fry – b/c it is my ultimate favourite recipe created by @Lyzabeth ), I was watching the replay of last week’s coaching call; making sure I am ready for tonight and properly listen to what I didn’t hear last week ( I was listening a bit passively.) Since, I was unable to make a comment last week, I wanted to comment on the question when @Lyzabeth asks us what equipment/weights we have at home.
I will predominantly be doing at home workouts for this challenge starting on January 9th (my gym membership is on pause because with a toddler, it is easier to wake up at 5am, workout 2 doors down from my bedroom, rather than packing up a gym bag and going to the gym after work immediately before getting home – I am certainly a morning workout type of gal.)
Currently, my weights are: 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25 pound dumbells. I also have the following:
– fabric and non fabric resistance booty bands of easy, medium and hard;
– a mini step ladder ( I plan to purchase more risers) of 5 risers I believe;
– a bosu ball;
– 12 pound weighted vest;
– one set of 5 pound and 10 pound ankle weights and,
– 3 different resistance bands for back rows, etc. My dominant cardio machine is a treadmill that I have and totally enjoy using. I truly like walking on incline 9 or 10 (10 is max on my treadmill), starting at speed 2.5 and gradually getting to 3.2 for 20-25 minutes.
I have been looking for 12 pound ad 17/17.5 pound weights since the start of the pandemic, and just found 12 pounds on Amazon, so I will be purchasing the pair tonight.
Q: According to last week’s call, is the fit test scheduled for Tuesday, January 10th during our coaching call? Also, when will we be demonstrating our form (the members who are comfortable with that?) I am guessing today we will get a suggested calendar of the challenge?
